Received a new side quiver as a gift a few months ago; "Chief" style, which I am really liking. BUT, the leather ( 8-10 oz. latigo, I believe ), is fairly stiff, and so it's fairly noisy - squeaks quite a bit.
My wife has a Stalker style, same leather, which we got used, and it is noticeably softer and more quiet.
I've tried rubbing in mink oil, also soaked it in the brook and worked the leather some, neither of which has helped at all.
Any tips on how I can speed up the break-in process for the leather?
Montana Pitch blend.
It has bee my experence that the mink oil will soften the leather better than most leather treatment some times it takes time for the leather to break down and soften .Keep aplying mink oil it will do thej job
