 Go get em Vance. Found out I didn't draw anything this year due to the new system. General all the way for me this year.
Trip is cut a bit short for me...but I'll be thar the 20th with a doe tag in ma pocket (no draws for me on lope or mulie bucks this year). Terry will be there after I leave so hopefully will be able to scout some for him.
I'll have a good friend in tow who is not a bowhunter but we're gonna get his fire lit hopefully...and we gots some trout to catch. Course, there's rockchucks and groundsquirrels to fling at too! So much to do in Wyoming, so little time.
Looking forward to seeing my two "older brothers", been too long :readit:
Ahh the over powering smell of sage, heat fairies dancing, distorting your view (heat waves), prairie specks (antelope in the distance)and lush tall prairie grass blowing back and forthlike waves on an endless inland ocean
bring it on boys!
I'm with you Charlie, I am ready for the antelope but have a Mule Deer tag as well this year. I love the 15th opener for the Antelope but am heading out the last week of August for antelope and staying two weeks for the first week of the Mule Deer. Look forward to it all but the antelope are a blast.
Mickey got it right when he mentioned the smell of sage, there is nothing like a cup of fresh brewed coffee an hour before daylight with the stars so bright and clear like you could reach out and touch them, the smell of the sage on the morning air and the snorting of a distant antelope buck to stir the blood.
Mike
Now this is going to be good! Where's my rockin' chair...Doc

The way we went through that lope meat at my house...I'm not so sure that one's safe bro :saywhat: Fax is on yer machine.
Vance... OK, we got it fixed so Joe can find that antelope, now lets fix up a shock collar for Joe so if he misses we can "encourage" him. :D
Joe,
I saw one Sunday morning you couldn't have missed at 30 yards, bud.
He was so tall in the body you could have been off either direction from center by five yards and still hit him lethally.
Yikes, what a pig.
Ray Ray Ray hog wash :D :jumper: The return of Hogzilla.
I had the right to remain silent. Not the abilitity. :D
I want to come and go hog hunting Ray!
Brent
Brent, I was with Ray and let me tell you it was a monster. He was walking along like he dared something to step in his way. It was by far the biggest boar I have seen on Rays property. When he spotted Ray that big boy hit his after burners and was gone in a flash.
Oh yea, I forgot. Charlie want me to send my shock collar to you so you can keep Joe straight? You guy's have fun and good luck. I look forward to reading about the hunt.
Chuck... save your postage unless there's a "stun" setting on the thing. May just end up throwing rocks. :D
I just finished up some tonkin cane arrows with trade points that I am going to shoot out of a takedown osage bow that I just made. Backed with a pair of carp skins Tim Ott gave me at MOJAM. I plan to use this on the antelope and a new Black Widow recurve on the mule deer.
Mike
I did not douth Ray, I WANT TO GO!! WITH HIM! My goodness a piglet would look like that to me!!! Personal rotiserarary sounds tasty to me!!! I like pork :D
Oh by the way I have a new 3/4 mile range waterproof retreiver model shock collar. NEVER USED YET. AND 5 YEARS OLD. Will come and activate if nessasary. May need a jump start :jumper:
Brent
Being a pig I would have run also seeing Ray. He has a Centaur :D
I guess I better hurry up and eat the rest of the Javie Salad and Dry Sausage :scared: :scared: :clapper:
Vance, when's the story teller gonna show up?
Hope you guys take lots o pics & have a blast.

Where have I NOT been????
Dang, I've been hoppin here and yonder....I'll be there soon my friend!
Bags are packed and I head out early in the mornin. This time tomorry, I hope to have a pile of speed goat sizzlin on the grill
A feller can dream, can't he?
Will be rooting for you bro!
Joe... I'm disappointed that our paths won't cross on this hunt. Rest assured that I'm puttin' out the good vibes for a successful and exciting hunt with my bud Vance.
Hope you got your ghillie in the bag. It's gonna be a sweet hunt... and the fishin won't be all that bad either.
I'll be hard pressed not to leave a couple days early. :banghead:
:goldtooth:
Go get 'em guys! Eagerly awaiting pics & stories.
I can't wait to read about this one!
Good Luck Fellas, This ought to be interesting :campfire: :coffee:
Ok now where is the update? Good luck guys!
It's been a long year. There's been some good hunting threads to get us through the year but it;s now starting to feel a bit more like hunting season. Good luck guys! I too will be waiting for the stories. CK
Talked to Joe yesterday and if they were able to escape Vance's man room, they should have gotten in some of the ranch's excellant fishing and maybe even an antelope stalk or two.
Hard telling what might be going on out there this morning. :campfire: :archer:
