Does anyone see an advantage with the new eichler signature muzzy, over the Magnus stinger. Ive shot the stingers for a couple of years and like them. But I have to get some heavier heads and was thinking about tryin the muzzys, what do you think?

I have a friend that shoots him out of his wheelie bow. They fly good and they are sharp but they don't have the same warranty so I would stick with magnus.

I like the option of sharpening or having new blades that you can insert.

thats a good point.^

Magnus is hard to beat...

For normal hunting I can't see one having an advantage over the other. Magnus might take the lead given it's ease of assembly after resharpening. The guarantee is nice as well.

Personally,I love the size of the bleeders (small) on the magnus stingers. I have used both though and both are very sharp out of the package.

I have 3 types of mangus heads, 150, 165 and 175 grains with alum inserts, and love them all. They fly great, shoot as good as my field tips, and kill stuff like crazy! I have had great luck with Ace Stds also.

I have a lot of experiance with Stingers Almost every animal I have taken with a bow has been with a stinger. Great heads.
My experiance with the phantom is minimal saw one kill a bison that was pretty effective though.
If your confident with the stinger dont give it up.

I've been looking at the stinger BH's too. What do most like 2-blade or 4-blade, buzzcuts or straight edge?

The four blade straight edges are the most popular choice. Probably because the bleeders are small enough they have little to no apparent effect on penetration but they still do a little extra cutting.

I prefer the stinger 150s, straight edge 4 blade over the buzzcut (though I use them too). Mostly because they are easy to touch up with an Accusharp.

Magnus Stingers !!!

I believe that a smaller bleeder like on the magnus stingers is the way to go with a four blade. They open up a hole just big enough to lessen the friction on the shaft, and add a little extra cut and bleeding in the process. Great heads!
