Got home later than usual last night. By the time I ate dinner it was dark outside and I still haven't put up flood light for my shooting area. So I cracked a chem light and stuck it in the target so I could only see the bottom circle. I was surprised at how tight my groups were. Took quite a few arrows, at around 30 yards, before I busted it. Proof enough for me that those who say instinctive shooter must be subconciously looking at their arrow are dead wrong.
dead wrong! that's a fact. Shooting a trad bow is like throwing a rock at something, or a baseball. Do you EVER see pitchers "subconsciously looking at the baseball?" no- they are focused on the target, the catcher.
Just had a quick morning shoot season in the back yard. Tighter groups and right where I wanted them. Might be something to that night routine.
Maybe you were shooting better this morning because you could see your arrow.
