I think that is the right name. They were longbows and recurves made in Florida. They always advertised the speed of their bows on a chrongraph in their ads.
Are they still in business? Has anyone ever owned or shot them? I had a chance to buy one and passed just not knowing anything about them.
Thanks, Brett
Anyone?
The name of the company was "Brown Recluse" and the Seminole was the longbow model, the recurve was the "Brown Recluse". Don't know much more than that other than reading a few articles and getting his brochure back before the internet.
They advertise in TBM all the time. I had one last year but sold it too quick. I liked it, I 'd like to get another one.
E.T. Williams was the owner/bowyer. I heard he sold the company to another Bowyer.. I think the bows are still made in S.E. Florida, maybe in the Palm Beach area.
Thanks guys...I had the name wrong! Appreciate the information.
Brett
My buddy bought one of the recurves years ago. I was shooting a Black Widow MAII at that time. AS far as workmanship and performance,it was an easy call,Black widow all the way. My buddy get rid of it quick and ordered a Widow.
