If you hunt from a tree stand, I sure like a shorter bow than 68".

Yes and Yes!

Tim I hunt with my 68" bow.  I'm sorry but you will always have disadvantages no matter what your equipment.  keep the length in mind and you can avoid that disadvantage by planning your set up with a long bow.

I do and since I'm old enough that I don't bounce well any more I stay on the ground.  :D  My 68" longbows are no disadvantage at all there.

I have and would not hesitate to do so again. I'm with David, I hunt on the ground and it never seemed to cause any problems.

There is no problem shooting them as long as you don't have anything in front of you like bars to hit when you shoot

68" over here. Bow is a lot skinnier than me. If it could slip through the woods without me I bet it would be more productive.

This will be my first year, with a new to me, Gordon Morey Lightning 3-D 2pc. 55#'s @ 28", R/D LB. Now don't get me wrong, I am not giving up my go to 64" Leon Stewart 3pc. LB but this new one really flings an arrow, they are about the same #'s but the Gordy Morey has a graphite/ carbon layer in the limbs and it's noticeable.

Yup, 66-70". I hunt in the nastiest trees you'll find. Set it up right...no problem. I'm 6'0 though, I'm sure height makes a difference.

Yes, I hunt with a 68" Hill. The only caution is that, in a tree stand, you have be careful about bumping the lower limb against the stand or the upper end against an overhead tree branch. However, watching out for those things soon becomes second nature.

The only disadvantage is...IT doesn't work. IT missed two bucks last year. IT better shoot where I'm looking this year. IT has a mind of it's own.    :biglaugh:

I'm out there with a 68" bow most all the time and it's always helpful to mind your tips.  It's rare that they foul but it's happened before.  I'd never hesitate to bring out my 68".  Sometimes travelling on a plane can be a hassle unless you've got a t/d model.
