Hi all, I did a search on here for past info on white gasket lacquer dip system. Couldn't find anything. I have the clear gasket lacquer dip system, I have been using it for 10 years and love it, works great. So, I was wondering does the white dip they sale, work just as good and seal shaft? I am looking to dip my entire arrow white. I have painted them before, but was hoping this work's good.
I've used the 3Rivers white GL and the long dip tube setup (with the 3 holes in the robber seal type top) and it works great. Done too many shafts to count all white and they look really cool.
One "tip" would be to dip it both ways so you get total coverage.
Good luck and post some pics.
It does work, the white sometimes seems thicker than the clear. It is done just the same, use the white over a bare shaft, if you are staining the shaft, do not stain under the white gasket lacquer. I have done maybe 100 shafts that way, no problem. They sell all yellow as well-hint, hint!
I've dipped full length too - like John says, dip both ways. Usually do 2 or 3 dips of white and 3 dips of clear over the white. 3Rivers now sells red GL - I really like that too.
full length white....Curious if you get snow?
YOu do know you can buy nitro lacquer and have it tinted any way you want...its the exact same stuff though slightly thinner. Bought the nitro lacquer at Ace, had to take it to a place in town that had the right pigment to tint it. Dunno why but everytime I use the stuff it cracks and peels in harsh conditions....every day use its nice.
thanks all, appreciate it. Will let you know how it turns our for me.
