I picked up this bow from Mike Horton (The Nocking Point) at this years MoBoJam.
This bow is something of an oddity.
I know the story after talking to Craig at HH Archery, let's see if you can figure it out. (Tony you can't play...lol)
Here are a few pictures.
The arrow was my 1st in a very long time so to say I am satisfied would be an understatement...lol

PS: The bow is 68" and marked 47@28 but scales 53@28. The shot was made at about 12-14 yards.
The upper and lower limb tips.

My guess is that it's a finish it yourself blank that someone bought from Howard hill archery and just marked it wrong?
Whats up with the laminations?
Other than the lack of information on the sides of the riser, I'm not sure I can guess what the issue is.
It's good to be reading your posts again, Roy. I'm happy you're back on line.
Glad to have you back Mudd....and in fine shooting style as well! Must be that Magnus' arrow, right? :biglaugh:
Good to see you here again Mudd!
It ain't the arrow that Mudd can shoot!
Redman should be constructed of four laminations of yew. This seems to be a three lam bow (a Tembo), but one of the lams isn't yew. Grip is a lot more rounded than Craig usually makes them, which would lean toward its being a kit bow. On the other hand, Craig will make the rounder grip if you ask for it, and the writing looks like it came directly from Craig's shop, so the jury is out on that one. It's also possible the grip may have been modified post production. OK, fess up.
You weren't trying the Byron Ferguson "ring shot" were you? Time to go into the biz if you were.
I was shooting for the ring but unlike the one Mr Ferguson shot...mine is cheap...lol
It was a bow blank that someone finished according to Craig.
The bow has two lams of yew and one of bamboo with a bacote riser.
It is a sweet shooter.
God bless,Mudd
Great to see you posting Roy!
Great shooting Roy! And you're back shooting 47# at that!
Mudd if I could shoot like that, I would get one that was a little odd too. Glad to see you back on here.
"Great shooting Roy! And you're back shooting 47# at that!"
Thank you for the kind words.
This bow weighs out at 53@28 but draws so smoothly because of it's 68" length.
God bless,Mudd
Welcome back on line ! Good shooting , missed your posts. Maxx
Nice shooting Mudd!
Who's MUDD? OH wait a minute he is our MO weatherman when my wife and I head west in the winter.lol Good to see your writings again!!

Glad you're back Mudd. You wuz missed.
Nice shot!. Purddy bow.
Good to see you around again Ye Olde Merry Man :)
:clapper:
Hello Mudd! I like the piece of bocote used, many times bocote can get lost in a piece of wood small enough for a longbow, but this one has the classic smaller, dark, full grain and sharp contrast. You can tell its bocote from a mile away, I love it.
Looking good all around! Glad to see you shooting again!
I'll echo all the welcome back comments and add that you should call that bow "Divinity" due to its journey from maker to finisher to whomever to you. There's a purpose for things Mudd, as you know. Divine intervention always trumps.
I'm glad to be reading your posts and seeing your pictures again.
God bless you Sir!
Good Shootin' Mudd!!
God Bless,
Nathan
