I shoot a 64" 50# at 30" Bob Lee recurve. I am shooting Easton Epic 400 carbons with 125gr field tips and just the normal alum insert at full length, which is 32" from the string slot on the nock, with 5" feathers. I shoot 3 under. If my form and release are perfect I get good arrow flight. If not I seem to get some shots that will kick bad. I do get some arrow slap on the edge of the shelf. Just wondering if a heavier point might be better for this arrow? Or what else I could do? Thanks
If you don't, try double string nock points. One over, one under.
Kick up and down or left to right. If up and down, a second nock point would stop that, as Bud suggests. If left to right, more point weight is my guess. I think the shafts are a bit stiff. Could be banging off the riser.
