I just picked up this bow for my 12 yr old son to grow into. 62" 38# @ 28". I must admit I've been having a blast goofing around with it as it's a joy to shoot at that weight.
Anyone have any idea of the woods it's made of ?
Thanks

The limbs look like osage and the riser is dymondwood.
Thanks. I had a feeling about the limbs being osage.
Nice.......  I wouldn't mind finding one in the poundage myself!! I don't think I ever saw one that light!!
Mine is a 60in Bushbow usually they are Osage limbs and Dymondwood riser! I wish mine was a lighter on the poundage! Great aquisition, I love that flatbow design!
Give Jerry at Great Northern a call, he will want the serial number off the bow. Then he can look up the bow and tell you about specs of the bow and when it was made.
Limbs look like red elm, riser diamondwood. Denny Sturgis Sr
It almost looks like Osage in the limbs and the riser is cocobolo epoxy impregnated birch.

That would be my guess also!!
Thanks guys. I tried calling Jerry but he's out of the office for a couple of weeks. No matter what it's a shooter.
its Osage and "cocobola" colored Dymondwood.
Very nice, I really like it :)
I picked up a used bushbow last year for my son. It was 45 pounds and boy is it a fun bow to shoot. I did the same and called Jerry with the serial number to get the info of the woods.
Please post and let us know what woods it is when you do get a chance to talk with jerry.
