Larry
Enjoyed the video  Congrats on your first buck with a long bow :archer2:
Great buck and video Larry. I am wondering why you didn't get much penetration though. You look like a strapping young man so I'm sure you are pulling plenty of weight. Doesn't appear by the video that the arrow hit any major bone and the deer didn't violently turn to pinch the arrows penetration. What is your arrow setup?
Almost sounded like some riser slap in the video. Maybe that cut down on the penetration. Of course, maybe he was shaking from the cold, maybe from the buck fever :bigsmyl:
Actually after that I had posted on here about arrows and since have changed. I found out that I was shooting way over spined arrows. when I would shoot they would hit the riser and fishtail through the air. they would hit my target at 20 yards at an angle. That bow is probably pulling about 57lbs with a 600gr arrow. Had a woodsman on it and I only got about 8 inches penetration and I was really upset. As you can see from the video the arrow hit the deer with the fletching to the left and it lost all of its energy. Since then I have changed arrow setup and the arrows are flying straight as can be and hitting nice. that is funny that you guys mentioned that because that really upset me thinking at 22 yards I could get a pass through. HAHA
