Well, I had hoped to have a dozen 170 grain left bevel grizzly broadheads attached to the end of my hunting shafts by now. The KY bow season starts in 30 days and with the exception of what I wanted to shoot on the end of my arrows I'm set. And its almost too late to be messing around with new tackle in the middle of the season.
I was really looking forward to the new manufacturer getting up and running. But obviously keeping up with demand has been a challenge. Good for them. Sucks for me.
Looks like I'm back to the Abowyer Brown bears which are great heads--but expensive.
Maybe next year.
Hate that for you the new Grizzly's Bill is producing are great heads!
Clicked on the RMSG site last night ...........looks like the 170's are available, along with everything else except the 160's.

I just checked the RMSG website and it says they are out of stock on all Grizzly BHs.
The heads available from RMSG are 170gr Right Bevel Kodiaks, and 200gr Kodiaks in Right or Left Bevel.
Hhmmmmmmm .........better update their page.
Sorry about that, was just going by what was being shown on the web page. :banghead:
The Grizzlies are going to be great I'm sure; in the meantime take a look at Abowyer Brown Bear on the A&H website they are crazy sharp out of the package.
I just got the 170's from the Teflon coaters on Friday evening. Now starts the long process of grinding them. That is the reason I'm up at 4 a.m. I will be sending some of them to Ron this week also.We are trying to get these heads to everyone but there is just no way to rush it.Jeff, if you have a preorder in you will be among the first to get them.
Bill
I am glad to have placed a pre order!
Pre-order? Don't know anything about it.
Is there a pre-order for 2013 I can get in on?
Jeff,
This may or may not help, but I just picked up the last 200g LW Grizzly Kodiaks that Bob Morrison had in stock last week. They are Bill's new style, but not the Teflon-coated ones coming off the "press" today. Figured they'd fill the bill just fine for me!
If you still are wanting to try Grizzlies for this season, I would be glad to send you a box of a half-dozen. That still leaves me with some to work with. Then, when more are available, you can drop ship me some replacements when you order more...
If you find some in stock somewhere in time, that's fine. Just thought since I had them, I'd make the offer! :archer:
If you place your order now,(preorder) Jeff. You can have them by the end of the week or early next week.
Bill
Good news for all, Bill! Congrats on the hard work that got everything pulled together in time for the season! :clapper:
I got some 200s at ETAR :-)
Bill, are you saying I can preorder now and get them quick when they are ready to ship????? Hell yeh. I'll have to thank on it.
I'm saying I have all weights on hand EXCEPT 160 Grizzly's.We are grinding heads to get to our dealers but if someone places an order with us. We can send them their heads quickly.Grinding up a large order takes a lot of time but it is not nearly as long to grind 1 6 pack.On a good long day I can only grind 100 heads.
Bill
I'm sure I'm in the minority on this but I'd buy heads that didn't have any grinding if they were cheeper.
You know, Bill,
If you'd quit wasting time on unimportant things like sleeping and eating, you could probably up your total to 150 a day or so... for a while!
There's nothing like being self-employed, is there?!
Keep up the good work. I hope it is worth it once you've caught up. The new design and grind are worth the wait for me. I'll shoot my old heads until I get yours.
I don't envy you or Ron at this time of trying to get caught up on all your orders. Hopefully, you two will look back and be able to say it was all worth the extra effort you put into revitalizing the heads.
:clapper:
Bill is a small business owner who runs an honest business committed to crafting top quality products. All 3 individuals working very hard to produce a high quality USA broadhead scary sharp out of the package. That is worth the wait to me.

Bill
No doubt!!! :readit: I have a huge 3 phase industrial wet grinder and I can't get many more than that either. These heads just plain
eat grinding wheels! Harry Elberg picked a great name for them: "Grizzlies"... because they sure are bears to grind! We'll get them done though.
Ron
Bill,
Your doing the right thing. I got a good look at the new heads at ETAR and was very impressed with the changes and the quality.
Stick with it and produce the product that you know is what you want.
Mike
Agreed Mike! Bill could have these made in China and you could get them fast and cheap. I have a sign in my office that says:
"Inexpensive - Fast - Quality" pick any two.
Bill has chosen to go with Inexpensive - quality. I haven't shot one of these through a critter yet but when I get that chance and if I do my part I know I will be liking all the hard work that has gone into these fantastic Quality American Made broadheads.
Bill, got some 200gr. Lw from Mike Horton (The Nocking point) and some 170gr.lw. in a trade . Great job. The quality is far and away better than originals. :notworthy: Thank you for you're involvement. Dano
Bill will make them as good as they can possibly be made at a fair price, then turn around and make them even better! Thanks Bill and Tracy, ALL of your products are worth the wait!
Jeff, I have a dozen ea 170 Right and left new grind not teflon.
Bob
I was practicing with some lw 200 grain glue ons. I had one skip and hit into a large 500 pound rock. It broke off a fist size chunk of rock but barely hurt the tip. I had to straighten it a little but other than that I could sharpen it up and reuse it. These things are tough. Gary
I'll definitely be using mine this fall. I picked some up at Denton Hill and they are great!
Thank you all for the support and patience! This new venture has been a huge learning experience for us.
Just to be clear the Grizzly heads dont come ready to hunt. They do have a burr raised the full length of them. That way it only takes a few minutes and you can have them razor sharp.
Blano Give me a call you may be able to buy some unground. :D
Hawkeye I'm much too boney to give up eating for too long. If I stand sideways and stick out my tongue. I look like a Zipper! :biglaugh:
Bill
I'm looking forward to using them this year. I ordered some of the 140 grain heads a couple of days ago off the website. Bill, do you reckon I'll have them by the first of October? No big deal, but I'd like to use them opening day.
They are already on their way, looper.
Awesome. I was not expecting them to ship so soon. I hope they'll get a good workout this year.
Spoke to Bill on the phone a few days ago to check on progress and the challenges of a new product. We as traditional archers recognize best the hands on efforts necessary to reach a quality standard in our shooting and the products that we use to hunt. Thanks for the efforts and am looking forward to my order and hunting with a single bevel this fall.
140s are shipping. wooo hooo!
Not to beat the :clapper: for there investment in bringing back a broadhead with the improvements they've made..
