I've never kept track. I took a bear this spring with a brand new Woodsman. I sunk the arrow in up to the fletching, and the arrow dropped out after only a few steps, and the head was still scary sharp. the arrow broke at the fletching, so I can only recyscle the broadhead.
I touched up the edges abit and I mounted it back on a shaft and its back in the #1 spot in my quiver. I'm going to keep track of it.
I'm just wondering how many have YOU taken with a single head?
Three.
Little critters - 7
Larger critters - 3
I have one ACE 160 that I have taken maybe 6 or seven rabbits , two goats and a pig with ... its now mounted on my bookcase ... it was the broadhead that refused to die , get lost or break regardless of what I did to it
Just one I retire the arrow and BH after they do their job..... :) stabow
I am not real sure, but several. I used the same Zwicky Delta 4 blade for about 3 years. I killed 4 or 5 deer with it every year until I lost it. I shot a hard quartering doe and the arrow did not completely pass through. The broadhead end of the shaft broke off when she ran through brush and I never seen it again.
I used the same arrow for those deer too. As you can guess, that was the end of that streak...
God Bless,
Nathan

I killed 9 animals with the same arrow from javeline size and up . Its a wood arrow with a woodsman up front . It never broke everytime I shot somthing I would always find it unharmed. I retired it and wrote on it kills plenty...Tim
It looks that those VPA are endless,I killer at least 3 hogs and it is still like new,the next one killer 2 and the last on the quiver killed 1. Same with my Grizzly, they are Good since I don't loose them!
I would probably say around 3-4 with one head.
Whitetail buck, 3 javies, 2 hogs and a turkey all with the same woodsman.
I don't keep track for the BH's. The arrows get a note written on them and reused until they are broken or lost.

1980's 'Blue' Zwickey Delta 4 blade....14 deer and 1 TX Hog.
I killed 7 deer with one Simmons Land Shark. I finally retired it before I lost it!
I took a coyote, a whitetail, 6 squirrels, and a ground hog with the same eclipse. I did shoot a big gobbler with it, but he took it with him when he flew into a thick patch of swamp. I think I was just as upset over losing that broad head as I was over losing the turkey.
None. I retire all kill arrows and broadheads.
When we had doe tags I was trying to see how many I could get with one my single bevel Hills, but it seems that every other doe I shot the arrow just seem to vanish, never to be seen again. I have the same problem with Hunter Heads, where do they go, bloody broadhead heaven?
None. :dunno:
(I need to kill somethin'.)
7 deer is the most I've managed to kill with one head before losing it. Original Simmons Interceptor.
I killed 5 deer and a bear with one zwickey delta . I clean them up and write the # of points for a buck or a "D" for a doe with a sharpie marker .
8 deer with the same Zwickey 2 blade Delta, then a pass through into a rock on the 9th, still have the head. Lots of good eating though.
15 deer and pigs with a single woodsman I got from my hero Biggie when they first came out. Still have it.RC
Went on a caribou hunt some years back and killed two bulls with the same arrow. That's the only one I recall keeping track of. Head was a 160 Ribtec on a Kerry Gesink compressed and tapered ramin shaft.
RC....so, the truth is finally out....
You got the head from Biggie...and killed all those critters....
He really DID teach you to shoot!!! :biglaugh: :biglaugh: :biglaugh:
6 deer with a bear razorhead, still carry it sometimes
6 deer and 4 pigs with abowyer brown bear a few years ago. 2 hogs and 2 turkeys with a 1 7/8" silver flame that joebuck gave me at the tannehill shoot. I'm gonna kill some deer with it come sept.
Terry, He sent me the broadheads as a payment for me teaching him too shoot......RC
11 - yikes I better get to work - you guys are killers :)
I have one Snuffer that has been through nine hogs so far. The rest of the arrows in my quiver have only been through 3 or 4.
I killed five or six deer with the same Ace Standard before I lost it trying to shoot a squirrel out of a tree.
I killed 3 turkeys and 3 deer last year with Chris Surtees' 1 1/4" 250 3bl. VPA.
Before that never really kept track....
1 tukey and 3 deer and it is still the first one out of my quiver this season, original woodsman 3 blade.
I killed 4 deer with a single 4-bladed Zwickey Delta plus 2 squirrels and one Grouse. I must admit I missed about a half-dozen (maybe even more LOL) squirrels with it though. It cleaned up and re-sharpened with a minimum of effort.
I took a bull elk, mulie buck, black bear and a whitetail with one of the old Bear heads. The only reason I didn't kill more with it was because I usesd it in a broadhead shoot and destroyed it.
I killed 5 whitetails with one Woodsman broadhead before I lost it on the last kill. Despite many hours of searching, I just can't find it.
Jason, Those squirrels will "dare" you sometimes won`t they...RC
