Title: Texas hog hunt
Post by: Jeff Strubberg on August 06, 2012, 10:19:00 AM
I'm looking for a Texas hog hunt for spring, 2013.  Mid March, most likely.  Would prefer somewhere with a bunkhouse setup so I don't have to haul a mountain of gear along.

I've hunted down there in the past with Curtis Kellar, but it looks like he has moved on to bigger and better things.

Anyone got a reccomendation on an outfitter?

I'll be going mid February thanks to the St. Jude's raffle. It'll be with Mule Creek Outfitters. I understand there are some spots available during that time frame. I'm going with a buddy, and we're good company   :)   Let me know if you want more details. They have a camphouse, etc.

Dos Plumas... but Allen has moved operation to avoid a big coal plant as a neighbor I think.
Good guy..good family and a "killer" 'nanner'
pudding for dessert.
His website should be updated.

How has the success been at these places considering the droughts and little rain?
