Guy
thanks alot, just what I was looking for. will have to print that out and make a run to home depot in a few weeks :)
Bingham projects has one now... Looks nice and simple
I had a homemade wood jig--if you are making a string here and there, it should be fine. If you plan to make a bunch...I wore mine out pretty quick. My Yellowstone "Dream Machine" from BCY has been well worth the investment.
BCY also sells just the uprights, to be clamped to a table or bench, at a reasonable price.
I have a homemade stretching jig I came up with years ago--works great.
I only plan on making a few a year for my 4 bows. maybe like 10 per year. thanks
I made one like Rob's. It works great. I still have the other half of the Uni-strut I used. If you were closer you could have it, but you can buy one locally cheaper than I could ship it. I got mine at Menards. I think it was about $20-25 if I remember correctly.
I don't make many endless loop strings, but making the jig was worth the time in and of itself. I usually do Flemish strings because I think they are quieter, but you'll get lots of opinions on that, lol!

It will probably last you a lifetime then.
