what prep needs to be done before painting limbs to avoid chipping. also what is best paint to use. fred myers thanks
need help thank
For cheaper paint i like krylon fusion. Seems to stick really well. I've had it on some samick limbs for a while with no issues.
You'll need to remove the old finish first. Then sand it with 600-800 grit sand paper.
You'll want to use the polycarbonate (lexan) paints from these companies Tamiya, Pactra, Faskolor and Parma. They are all made to flex much more than regular spray paints.
I did some with DuraCoat firearm finishes, just followed there directions.
They turned out really nice and very tuff finish.
