Title: unidentified recurve bow
Post by: ruger28 on August 02, 2012, 03:00:00 PM
I have an old recurve bow that my father bought back in the late 1960s. Its stamped 62" 40# the only other marking is an inked "CAT. #260". I think it was purchased from either Sears & Roebuck or Montgomery Wards. Anybody have any idea who would have manufactured it.

Thanks.

I hope the image link works, first time I ever tried it.

I'd post this in the History Collecting Forum too, lots more potential to get a correct answer there.

It looks quite a bit like my old Ben Pearson Colt from the early 60's.

Ben Pearson used "Cat #" on their bows.  They made bows for many retailers, including S&R and Monkey Wards.  I agree with Hit-or Miss.
