Howdy all.
I'm interested in reading a few books about traditional archery.
As of now I'm reading the book by saxton pope and hunting the hard way will come next.
Anything else you guys would recommend in my reading list.
Thanks!
I really enjoyed "From the den of the old bow hunter" stories by Chester Stephenson. Early days in Oregon.
Ditto what Oregan Okie said ... a fine book .
I also heartily recommend
*'the Traditional Way " by Fred Anderson ... a fine read !
Also "Toxicated " by same
*Early adventures with Howard Hill by Don Carson
* Straight shooting By John Schulz
*Witchery of archery by Thompson
*Bows on the Little Delta By Glenn St Charles

Any of E. Donnall Thomas' books. He is my favorite writer.
"Howard Hill, the man and the legend" by Craig Ekin. Another really fun read.

Agree with those above. Just finished Longbows in the Far North by Donnal Thomas...solid read. You'll like it.
Hunting with Bow and Arrow by Saxton Pope was great.
Just started Hunting the Hard Way...100+ yard kill shots??? I know he was the master, but is that true?
All of the books by Barry and Gene Wensel are great.
Also check out the two books by Roger Rothhaar.

Like Shortlongbow said, The Sand County Almanac. Should be required reading for all hunters. One of those books that changes the way you look at things.
