Title: carbon spine..175 grain needs 500 what about 300grain?
Post by: Zradix on July 22, 2012, 11:30:00 AM
Hey guys and gals.

I have some 500 spine carbs tuned in with 175 grain tips.

Thinking about some 300 grain tips.
Do you think 400 spine would do?
Or might I actually need 300 spine

Thanks

Would guess. 400 especially if you have some room that you can trim a little.

Zradix,my Centaurs, and my Pouland static are kicking butt with this set-up....

Traditional Only .400 29.5long,.100 grain brass insert,and a .225 head. They have cap wrapped ends,Easton S nocks,and 3 5" shield cut feathers.

The bows are very quiet, and at 20 yards it is point on shooting,no drop. Minimal arrow drop
out to 30 yards. Best shooting, hardest hitting
arrows I have used so far. rat'

If 300 up front positions you ~27-28#s underspined, then you may find the 500's to be a great choice.
