After trying many mine is the Dwyer original. Bill
Great Northern Critter Gitter
GN Bushbow
Northern Mist Baraga
Two Tracks Longwalker
GN Bushbow
Liberty English
Yeah, it has ever so slight reflex deflex.
Least, mine does.
Dwyer Original
Like my Fredrick Baron but always admired the Dwyer.
Big River, John McDonald
Great Northern Fieldbow. Shoots just like my Bushbow but was less expensive.
Well, I haven't shot that many but I really like my Robertson purist.
I've got a Herb Meland NightHawk fast flight that is a sweet shooting bow.
McCullough Griffin.
Holm-Made Osprey, Chad builds a nice bow. I had a Dwyer Dauntless that was nice also!
By the DiStefano definition the mild R/D bow braces to "D". That being said, I would put the Mohawk Sparrowhawk on the list of candidates. Far more great bowyers in this thread than I have dead presidents unfortunately.

Toelke WHIP HS would get my vote!!!!
Love my crooked stic longbow!!!!!!!!!
St. Joe River longbow.
It has the D profile when strung, with a reverse riser... very quiet, stable, accurate and pretty dang quick, with no hand shock.
Robertson Stykbow. GN Critter Gitter is pretty nice, too.
Liberty Contender for me.
I agree Butch. Allen makes a very fine bow. The Contender would be my choice...it IS my choice.
Quillian Bamboo Longhunter.
66" Great Northern Critter Gitter with bamboo. The GN's are the standard I measure how a bow should shoot now :)
I am getting ready to order a lil' creep now w/ jackknife.
Liberty Contender
This 66" J.D Berry Rennassiance I am shooting is very very nice.I have had 6-7 Berrys and this one is superb.I also like the GN Critter Gitter and Fredericks. All are are D shaped mild R&Ds.
LOL,Dywer Original hands down.
Steve, lost your email address. I was Wondering???? Yes LOL. BILL
My V-Bow by Arnold Smit out of the Netherlands. A real sweet shooter.
It's my Big River, for me.
My 66" J.D Berry Rennassianceas is my 62" Tredway Black Forest
Lots and lots of great mild r/d longbows out there to choose from as the responses indicate.
My vote is:
Lonetree Ocelot 1pc
Horne Combo Hunter 3 pc

x2
I also like the look of a Maddog longbow, because its basically just like a Longhunter with a little more R/D
Wow I'm surprised! No one has said Abbott,in my opinion one of the best available. :archer:
Liberty Contender for me also. Ken
I shot "a lot" of these mild r/d bows. By far the best has been the Northern Mist Superior.
Danny
So, I wanted to throw in my Bamboo backed hickory longbow with a cocobolo handle by a fellow name Eric Todd. It has been a great bow, with well over 10,000 shots through it I would imagine. He's turned out to be quite the friend, and a superb craftsman/bowyer.
Tops Eric!
7 Lakes for me.
I like the Mohawks also. (a blast from the past) I thought the Howatt/Martin ML-18 Bushmaster was a good solid bow.
I really liked the NM superior
Dywer Original here 66inches 54 @ 28
Abbott Longbow
I like Robertsons, GN Critter Gitters and Liberty Chiefs (the latter just a tad more than mild r/d).
Ron Kings Royal Crown. Shoots where you point it, and absolutely no hand shock. One of the finest bows i have ever held in my hands.
My 64" Two Tracks Longwalker!
Some of the bows mentioned in earlier posts I'd put in the moderate rather than mild R/D category. For mild R/D bows I'd rate Abbott and Green Mountain (the latter no longer made) as two excellent mild R/D designs.
Hill-style and mild R/D longbows have become my favorites over the years and are hard to beat for their classic looks and quietness.
dwyer original for me
Another Mohawk fan here
Abbott
Abbott Longbow
I like Deathwish Longbows.
Longwalker, got 2 of them.
My favorite mild d/r longbow is the one a friend of mine made for me. It shoots good and has the looks to go along with it. My Tomahawk Legacy series would be number one for a mild d/r but it does have a little flat spot near the tips.
Liberty Contender built by Allen Boice.
I should amend my first response...
Yes, I love my Dwyer Original, but I'm also falling for my Great Northern Bushbow.
Oh, and I GOTTA get me a Liberty Contender.
I would have to vote Great Northern bushbow but now I'm not to sure. Just came in from testing my newly acquired Green Mountain and now I might be sitting on the fence.
Both are sweet shooters for sure.
I like a few...Longwalker, Wes Wallace, and Baraga
Oh LOVE Northen Mist also. Will not deal with a better guy than steve. BILL
Robertson Vision
My G Fred Ramhunters.
GN Bushbow; hoping to add the Lil' Creep to my list...mine's due in a month or so.
Dont have one now but I would have to go with a Dwyer and put Abbot in the mix also.
