From the moment you leave the house to the moment you return, how many days do you set aside to hunt elk? If you are also hunting Antelope and deer during the same month, include those too. IF you leave early to scout or get ready, include those. Just have to give me one number.

How many days for the entire year do you set aside for hunting? again, just a number.

About 16 for elk ( out of state for me), 50 total. I'm retired.
I'm with Jerry on the elk. 16 seems about right, although I have done anywhere from 10 - 30 days in the past.
Also like Jerry, I am retired, so have the luxury to hunt a lot. I think I'm actually better at it than he is though, because 50 would be WAY low! :D
16, 17 may 18. Although last I got my elk on the 3rd day.
8 days in Colorado for Elk.
Deer 30
I'm self employed and sort of semi retired. The wifes good enough to ship orders while I'm away cause she loves to eat elk. However, believe it or not I have to drag a laptop along and find a signal every couple of days to provide customer service. With all that said, last year in Nv I shot an elk on the 5th day. 10 days later I headed to Utah and got skunked, I hunted the entire season in Utah, 20 days. So...
Elk 30 or more
Deer is something I hunt while I hunt elk because I am not into it to much anymore, although if its the only thing going then I'll do it. so... I guess Deer 30 as well.
Not enough that's for sure.
I've got 11 for my elk hunt this year
I'm in the same boat as Jerry and Joe. Dock to dock about 18-19 for elk and 50-60 total for the season. Twice I have killed elk on the last day of a hunt but back then we only went for 10 days.
9 days in CO for elk.
"as much as possible" for deer back home.
365 days a year! If dreaming about it also counts.
Not as much as I would like. I get to hunt them 3 to 4 evenings a week after work and full days on my days off through out the season. Rarely do I get more than 3 full days in a row to hunt elk.
When I draw a tag . I hunt about 30 days in that years .
On average about 10 days, Some years less some more.
Steve
Does this include the mornings I just head out the back door?
The season is 30 days long, so I'll add a day of travel on each end and say 32 days this year.
17-18 days for Elk
10 days for Whitetail (out of state)
10 Days when hunting OTC in CO the 2 times I've been lucky enought to draw AZ I've dedicated 18 Days
Trying to have 17 days from start to finish this year for elk in Wyoming. Number of days on other hunting hard to say but probably at least 30 maybe more?
