Hey Tom!
On the Powwow page, see the drop-down box for TG Sponsors?
See the one underneath it for Bowyers and Bow Emporiums?
(Should that be Emporia? :dunno: )
Miss seeing you at ATAR.

Nathan is a full time bowyer
I wish I could say that I was full time, but I guess I would have to put in less hours to be full time.

Hey, girlie!
Are all the bowyers there full-time?
Was there an ATAR this year? I thought it had been done away with.
I've been wrapped up in my competitive Service Rifle shooting and haven't pulled a bowstring in almost two years. I miss it...and miss my TradGang buds, too.
I'm actually surprised at the number of full-time bowyers listed so far..I didn't realize there were so many! My hat's off to those that make a living out of it.
I'm pretty certain Dan Toelke is full time.
My son Zach and I are full time bow makers.
Abe Penner@ Cari-Bow
Chuck Jones of Black Rhino Bows
Bob Morrison
I would like to see how many full time bowyers have been full time more than 15 years, with no other income than there bow business....
Mike Mecredy of Maddog
Very good Mike, You much be doing it right.
I guess I count for that one Bob , but then does extra income mean arrows and quivers and wood and well , you get the point.
Dick Robertson,

Part time, I have a lawn to take care of and a garden and a wife so just part time . About 10 hours a day. I'm retired though and do it because I love doing it. Not as a job.
God bless you all, Steve.
nate at bamabows isn't full time. he takes time off.
he just told me this morning about the time he took off to make himself a 90#, 58" expedition. it shoots 900g arrows.
i also know he goes fishing, and frankly, i resent it.
he could be spending that time building the bow i have on order.
joe
I retired after working 30 years with a system of wilderness camps for kids in trouble. I went full time bow building then, almost 2 years ago and I'm loving it. 7 Lakes Longbows

Like what Ted Fry said, Im full time but. I make quivers, rawhide, process snake skins and all the native supplies that I sell. In the fall I hunt as much as I can as well as in the winter I trap and finish fur to sell in Canada. Then I write as many articles as I can about it all.
Thats how I make bows full time.
Mike
Just curious on how long it actually takes to make a bow from start to finish. How many, on average, do you bowyers make a week, month or even year. I am sure there are a lot of factors that go into customizing them for each individual.
