Finally decided to get some stuff together to try bowfishing and I gotta say, it's a blast! I went out to a farm pond I fished a few years back that I would see carp in and after about 45 minutes and 2 misses i connected on this 7-8#er. Thanks Jack Shanks and huntmaster80 for selling me the stuff to rig up for all the fun!

Here's one a little far away after I yelled across the pond to my girlfriend, "FISH ON! GRAB THE CAMERA!"

James
congrats on the fish!!! i love that size of carp, they make the best scored carp sandwich! bowfishing is tons of fun, you will be hooked forever.

Congrats on a fine fish.
Congrats! Nice setup too.

Great going Damon! Nice pictures. Thanks for sharing them. Brings back memories from my teens hunting carp in a gravel pit near my home. I don't think I actually ever got one there though. I do remember shooting at the biggest carp I had ever seen one day. In my excitment I didn't notice the string had become wrapped around the fishing spool and broke when it came to the end. Lucky for me the arrow didn't come back and put my eye out or something but I lost my one and only fishing arrow.
Good job dude!!!! That is a nice lookin fish and it didn't take you long to get one at all. Congratulations
Great shooting...them buggers can be hard to hit!
Thanks, guys! I shot over the first 2 even though I knew to aim low, I just didn't know how low...This one was pretty shallow which made it a lot easier to hit!
Sure makes the wait for deer season a little more bearable, since no Elk season for me this year. I should've tried this sooner! :banghead:
Sweeeaaatt!!!
You gonna eat that? :D
Is that considered a "Grizz" Carp?
Cool!

Bowfishing is what got me into traditional archery.
Good job
I bet it won't be your last! Don't be afraid to shoot bigger fish, you can probably handle them :D ;)
Sweet!!!!!!!
