If I do my part right this is what I get at about 15 yds. However I'm getting lower hen feather wear. It's really bugging me. I just fletched up a dozen last week. I raised my brace height to 8 1/2. Nock point is at 7/16 Quite as a church mouse I might add.
The bow is a 1957 #49 Kodiak 64" . I draw a tad over 28" Arrows are 2016 30" 125 pt weight. I left them long in case they would be to stiff. Can't figure out what it is. Nock point, plucking the string ? It does have a leather strike plate. Any help is greatly Appreciated.
Thank You,
Mike

What's your bow weight?
Killdeer
Knew I forgot something. Edited post
Thanks Killdeer.
I honestly think it is just the hard shelf of the '57.It seems like when I had one,it did the same.I usually put Bear Hair on all my shelves.Turning the nock may help a little but I just think it's that shelf.Sounds like it is shooting real well. They are a heck of a bow.
That's a very high brace height for that bow. I don't have any of those bows now, but when I did, I shot them at about 7 inches. Have you tried a higher nock point yet? Another 1/16 would increase the clearance and I doubt it would change arrow impact. 2016s spine about 60# +. They should work well.
Jim,
They are a heck of a bow
Orion,
I'll try the brace at 7 and see what happens . I did not try a higher nock point.
Thanks,
Mike
Lower brace height to 7 1/4 vibration and ruffled the two hens.
