Thanks to Bamboo for sending me the above link.
Another interesting thing is the way the feathers get slammed forward at impact. A lot of mine are getting so badly frazzled that I have to manually smooth them back after shooting. In this set of frames, even the newer feathers that recover fully after impact are still violently disrupted momentarily.
Pretty cool!
Cool video.
What does it take to be able to shoot super-slo-mo video like this? Expensive? Seems like it would give a huge amount of insight to a person who is having tuning issues.
Very cool video. I noticed the same thing with the feathers Bladepeek.
I know he showed a tuned shaft and a very weak shaft, but did he show a very stiff shaft ? Did I miss something ? Wanted to see how bad a stiff shaft bounced off the sight window and shelf.... :dunno:
Very Informative Clip!! I have tried to Explain this, and as they say "A Picture is Worth a Million Words"! :goldtooth:
That is interesting...
You think it's that violent with ALL setups? I've never filmed my setup, but those look like noodle arrows on heavy limbs to me?
Is Daniel Yononindo from TradGang the author?

I suspect that with this recurve it would likely not be a problem.
Longbow yes, recurve not so much. ?
cool video
Yep, I forgot about that lt-m-grow..... recurves can shoot a much wider spine range than a longbow and most are cut past center. Be pretty hard to get a too stiff spine for that 70lb recurve I bet.
Still would like to see a slo mo of a too stiff arrow though..... :archer2:
he is a member here. and cool video
Cool video. Very interesting. :clapper:
Yononindo is his user name I believe. he posted that video on here a while back. amazed everytime I watch it. take a few minutes and watch his video on the beach making friends.
Awesome Joe. Thanks for sharing it. Required viewing for everyone.
Good one, Thanks for sharing.
Great video! You are right people just starting out should make sure not to just pick up any arrow and shoot it. Also they should inspect their arrows for any deformities before you you shoot.
GREAT video thanx for bringing it to our attention .
Super demonstration!
Thanks for sharing.
I been mesmerized. Now I want to see one with a Hill style longbow and wood arrows, the too stiff idea is a good one.

Excellent video. That's why I have to chuckle when someone says an EFOC arrow fully recovers from paradox in the first three feet. :)
Also like to point out to the Newbies...watch both hands...I'm a firm believer in John Schulz theory,
"Upon release, both hands do nothing...."
nothing!
