I've got a chance to pick up a Super Shrew Deluxe. Could any of you Shrew shooters tell me what constitutes the "Deluxe" part? Also, any pics would be great, as always. Oh, and the SSD I'm considering is 58", what say you of that length for that model?
Thanks,
Andrew

Ron should check in soon enough, but I THINK it was a few bows he had built a couple years ago that had an arrow inlay on the limbs.....I could be wrong.
Roger, that was the Super Shrew Limited that had the arrow inlay and a matching Shrew Knife.
The Deluxe had riser overlays of decorative glass and they may have had an upgrade to bamboo cores from actionwood cores. For the most part, just cosmetics. All the Super Shrews are great shooting bows.
Andrew,
In the early Super Shrew days, the standard bow didn't have any handle overlays, and the Deluxe had four layer colored glass handle and tip overlays. The standard limb wood under the glass, was brown or gray action wood.
Now, we offer a wide variety of woods available under glass, all with bamboo core std, and handle and tip overlays standard to match the limb or riser material.
You can PM or e-mail me if yo have additional questions.

(http://i122.photobucket.com/albums/o244/2crazyboys_photos/dscn1462-1.jpg)Here you go. I think there are something like 11 layers in the riser counting core, glass, veneers and the black material, forget its name.
5 Shrew's later and I don't know a dang thing. Like I tell Ron and Gregg....I don't care how you make them, I just shoot em.. :bigsmyl:
Hey Ray, how many S.S. limited's do you think were made?
