I shoot carbons out of my kodiak magnum and have been looking into getting some woodies. If you a have a kodiak magnum and wouldn't mind sharing your wood arrow setup with me it would be greatly appreciated. Just trying to get an idea of what type of wood and what spine at what weight y'all are shooting.
I shoot wood out of a Kodiak Magnum, but as in any other bow, you'll have to tune for your bow weight and draw length. We can't help without that info. My bow is 48# @ my 27" draw length. I shoot 11/32 cedar or doug fir, 50-55# spine, cut to 27 1/2" to BOP, with 125-135gr points and broadheads.
Mine is 49# @ 28 which is what I shoot. I will probably shoot 100-125 grain broad heads. I'm leaning toward Doug fir over cedar which do you prefer?
