Hey all,
I'd like to see some pics of heads that you all would consider great for hogs. Either 2 blade or 3 would be fine. I'm just looking for ideas and what others have found to work well for them.
One other thing, I will be shooting no more than 50 pounds of draw weight, if that makes a difference in what you would use.
Thanks for the help.

these will do it

Check out the Grizzly broadhead site!
I just switched to Grizzlies, I just mounted these first three on the 4th! Look like pig killing machines to me!

i use the original Silver Flame XL 180 grain out of my 47lb bows. They are pricey but work well. The 175grain VPA terminators work well also..

Go to the A&H Archery site and look at the Abowyer Brown Bear-legendary killer of Hogs and Elk. :archer2: :archer2:
Two Blade Magnus, double lung shot, bled like crazy! You can see the hole right above the nocking point on my string. I put a small tanto tip on the Magnus, too. 180 grain Silver Flame xls. Good sized hogs 200# plus, broadside, 1 hole kills. One walked 60 yards and one walked 100 yards and was completely drained by the time he went down. (http://i122.photobucket.com/albums/o244/2crazyboys_photos/DSCN2602.jpg)
Love the paint job on your Hog, Izzy! That's my fav pattern.
tuffhead, 200 grain grizz, standard 160 grizz, stos, zwicky no mercy, standard silver flame

These are close up of the tips. left to right, Tuffhead, modified tip 200 grain grizzly, modified tip standard grizzly, standard tip. I always change the tip on my grizzly. Not a needle point but it makes it much sharper and less likely to deflect on a animal that is at a steep angle
I have shot hogs with zwickeys, Ace and Grizzly's. Of those the Grizzly actually entered and cut a channel through the hot, looked like someone took a paint brush and went down through the woods. I am no expert, just my experiance.
Ribtech 190

couldn't have said it better myself
blackstumps all the way for me.
The 200 grain Tuskers are pretty awesome, too!
Tusker Aztec versus a boar's skull.

John at Tusker took this brute while hunting a banana plantation. He said it weighed 376 pounds. He favors Aztecs for boars, and Concordes for Aussie Buff.

He shot this one later the same day, or the next day, I forget now, at the same banana plantation. This one was smaller but still a brute!

YOWZA...those are a couple of MULES for sure.
Where did he take them? I wish it was close to me....
I'd love to chase something like those BRUTES around for a while trying to get a shot. You know there are more of them out there, wherever he was, and BIGGER too. Can you imagine running into one that's TWICE the size of that top one? You'd better have a change of shorts for sure.
Thanks for posting those.

Hand forged Team Tippit heads work fine for me...250-300 grains.

Brutes for sure I'm jealous too! John has the advantage of living in the bowhunters paradise otherwise known as Australia. :archer2:
braveheart, I was curious and would like to know the story behind the "brain shot". what bow was he shooting? what were the specs? seems like it'd be a pretty tough shot to pull off. Also, did the hog go stiff and drop on spot?

I'm sorry it was John's buddy who shot it I don't know the particulars other than that it was an Aztec, but I reckon he didn't go very far!
That's a Good Ole Biggun too Tippit....nice job and cool head to boot.
Some creative people here at TG.
