Let me be clear. I own "regular" camo and I also have some plaid wool. This thread is not to bash regular camo patterns.

I really would just like to see hunting pictures with hunters wearing plaid or other "old school" hunting gear. So please post up either old hunting pics or other pics in plaid and such.

I wore this plaid jacket when I shot my bear last spring. I thought my first traditional harvest should be in plaid (the blue jeans were only for the tracking job the next morning).

I don't have a picture of it but I shot an elk at 7 yard -- I was wearing a blue and gray plaid wool shirt just about the color of your tradgang signature photo Buckeye and I was also wearing dark green army surpluse wool pants. He never knew I was there. But! conditions were perfect. It had just showered and the ground was damp and the air was damp and the breeze was in my face. He walked to me, so I was not moving.

This one is sort of camo. I have to wear orange for part of the season during muzzle loader overlap. I can take the orange off when I'm sitting in a blind or against a tree, so you see what I was wearing.

This fall, the shirt is wool blend. The camo is almost faded completely out of the old canvas cargo pants. My safety harness has some camo too, but I don't really thing it hides much!

I found an old plaid scottish hat at a junk store. I paid $1.50 for it. Excellent shape. Brown and black plaid. Ross tag on the inside. Made in Scotland.

I was a Woolrich plaid hunter for years, but my wife got me a Legendary Whitetails red plaid hunting coat for Christmas to go along with my red plaid Ushanka....nice and warm!!
