Lay bevel edge on a belt sander ( turn belt inside out) flush with bevel with light pressure to create a burr. Then flip over and strop flat side parallel on cardboard to flip burr back.. Repeat back and forth with cardboard.

Or

KME Knife sharpener...get the stones not the diamonds IMO

Good luck and good hunting

In my experience they arrive hunt ready. If you are a bit sharpening challenged leave them alone. For touch ups a ceramic sharpening stick works well.

Like Joey said. work the bevel side till you raise a burr on the flat side. To keep it a true single bevel, you need to stop or cardboard the flat side and keep it flat and flip the burr back to the bevel side. then flip it back to the flat side. eventually the burr will pop off and you are ready. If you aint got a burr started you aint gonna get them or anything sharp. good luck.

I use a round polishing wheel with jewelers rough. I can't sharpen either, but I can shave with these in seconds on the wheel.

I am trying to learn how Ray Hammond does it. I watch him get really tough heads to sharpen in a minute with little effort, a file and leather strop.

Once I had these Abowyers sharp from the wheel, they dulled up on a hunt I went on. Ray saw me struggling at his place trying to touch them up. Using his method within seconds he had these so sharp I actually cut myself just holding it. I bled all over his deck. Thats the truth. He said he was going to try to get a video of how he does it and post it.

Ray if your listening get the Iphone out before I hurt myself trying it on my own! Ha!

Kasey next time you go to Rays bring a Nicholson file and leather strop. I did that this year and didn't get a chance to do it with him.

In the mean time if you have a bench grinder you can get a set of wheels and rough for about $30 from Grizzly Tools. You don't need to use the grinding wheel at all on these broadheads, just use the polishing wheel with rough. 3 to 5 light passes on the bevel side and 1 or 2 light passes on the flat side. That is all it takes. Don't use too much rough or else it cakes on.

Ray's method is nearly as quick, but as Ray told me, "the wheel is good but you can't take it with you".
