What 4 blade glue on broadheads with the replacable bleeders can be used with the long steel broadhead adapter from 3 rivers?
Thanks.
None that I can think of with the exception of the Zwickeys but the bleeder blades are not removeable. You really need to get the shorter adapters for heads like the Bear Razorhead or Pearson Switch Blades.
I have a friend that "modifies" the bleeders on the Bear Razorheads with a dremel tool to get them to fit. He uses 100 grain steel adapters to bring them in at about 220 grains or so
They all can be used with a long adapter. Cut a slot in the adapter. Not hard.
Thanks
The short adapeters aren't much of an option as I need the weight for tuning. So I will either have to cut the 125's that I use or sharpen the zwickeys.
Glue in some lead shot to get the extra weight.
Not sure why a shorter adapter would not work- you are only talking 10gr or less. I grind down longer ones when I use 4 blades.
I am using steel adapters the short is 75 gns and the long solid that I use is 125gn.
I should have remembered that when Bear came out with the Razorhead everyone cut a slot for the bleeders. If you really need the weight then that is what I would do on second thought.
If you can find some Pearson switchblades you wouldn't have to modify...
Got you Chris. That could be too much to take off. . . though there are a number of other options you could use to add the wt. even with short adapters.
