In the mood to tinker. I do want to build up some new arrows as my Full Metal Jackets are 31 1/4 BOP right now with my 31" draw. I know I can just stick with the FMJ's as the 340's are 32". Just curious if anyone tried those pricey buggers and is the standard HP aluminum insert the only insert option for those arrows? If you tried them, did you like them or just think that they weren't worth the extra couple bucks per shaft? Tried doing a search and didn't come up with anything. Maybe that's giving me my answer right there! LOL!!
I love my ACC Pro Hunters. Got them from GHall. They shoot great. I used one to win my $10 at the Standing Stone shoot. I am down to 7 or 8 of them. It hurts when you 'misplace' one.
Keith, are you using the stock inserts or do you have a trick to weight them up. I do not see where they have a brass version.
I've been using the regular ACCs for years. My favorite arrow by far. What is the difference between them and the Pro Hunters except the nock?
They use the same inserts that they use in ST Epic's.There are no heavier inserts available and the inside diameter is not large enough for the screw-on weights like GT weights.They are a 9/32" carbon shaft,you would have to make your own.I have made some heavier inserts for my CX Heritage 90 that are 9/32".I took some 5/16" brass inserts and mounted them on a field point in my drill.I spun and filed them to fit the CX 90,it took a 50 gr. insert down to 42 grs.But made 5/16" points fit more flush without the little lip overhang.There is alot more point weight choices in the 5/16" size.Great quality shafts though are alittle on the expensive side.

Yeah, about 3 bucks more a piece versus the FMJ's. I may get a couple just to see. :dunno:
I think I have stock inserts in them. I shoot them with 200gr points at 30".
Fantastic arrow! I shoot 390 with a little weight up front and have had complete pass through on one bear and one whitetail buck. I used a snuffer on the bear and Muzzy 220 phantom on the deer.
I'm back to using them on my 52# limbs. Only because it was the only thing carbon in the .450 range for spine. I'm not a fan of the skinnies, and I hate X nocks.
But yeah, they're a damn good arrow. Straight as hell and tough.
