I need some 200 grain broadheads for elk hunting. I've heard good things about the Simmons interceptor and the muzzy phantom ss. I am shooting a 50# bow with about 500 grain arrow. I'm thinking I might go with a two blade broadhead for the better penetration but please let me know what broadhead you would recommend for 200 grains.
The new grizzly Kodiak would be at the top of my 200 grain elk head if I were looking for a glue on broadhead.

After reading your post again you may be looking for a screw in... In that case there are a pile of options. Just find a well made one that you can get scary sharp. I love my 145 grain eclipse with 100 grain adapter (closer to 250). Lots of good options out there, just make sure it's built tank tough and sharp and it'll do it's job if you do!
First bull I ever killed was with a 125 Zwickey Eskimo and you couldn't have got a cleaner kill with a .300 magnum!

200 grain Razorcaps. My wife uses them out of her 45# @26" recurve and gets two holes in deer and bear.
There are lots of options when you mix and match adaptor weights and different broadhead weights.
160 grain Grizzly Kodiak with 46 grain adaptors.
Another excellent 200 grain screw-in is the Tusker.
They get really sharp and fly like darts.
Have you thought about going with a 3 blade? I have gotten excellent penetration with Woodsman Elites, and VPA's. VPA is a sponsor here, check their heads out, darn good heads!!
I got a pass-through on a 330 lb bear this spring using a 125 gr 3 blade out of a light 52 lb bow. Light arrow as well, only around 525 grains. These 3 blades penetrate as well as a two blade, and do more damage.
I put a 75 grain woody weight behind my Zwickey Deltas and makes it 210 grains up front
I have some Centaur Big Game heads that are nice, but I am going to be shooting 200 grain VPA's this year. They sound easy to sharpen, are tough, and seem to fly very very well.
(on Beman MFX Classic 400 with 100 grain brass insert. 636 grains@ 29").
I would go with either a VPA Terminator 200 grain or a 120 grain Grizzly with a 75 grain steel adaptor.
I think I might go with the vpa's, but should I get the 2 blade or 3 blade. Will the 2 blade get way better penetration?
