Title: My new toy
Post by: Chester Thompson on June 29, 2012, 12:53:00 PM
I did some horse trading a while back and, I traded a knife for a bow. I think that I got a great deal.

45lbs@28" now I just have to break in the bow, and  get with a friend of mine Bounty Hunter Tradition arrows and get have him teach me how to make bamboo arrows. I can not wait. Could not shoot it last night as it was family night at my son's VBS.

It was a custom knife, and a friend helping me to get back into shooting. I am also buying my son a bow from him for Christmas this year.

I don't have a great picture of it, but the handle grain pattern is really cool looking.

Well done Chet. Like the bamboo power springs on the limbs. Always liked the look of natural bamboo!

It is my first all wood bow, and I have been looking at a bamboo bow for a while, so I am very pleased with it.

Barter is a wonderful thing. If you both get what you want, $ don't even come into play. I just traded a handmade knife for a bow and think I did great - dual shelf Kodiak. Kinda fun shooting left handed once in a while.
