Title: Just fell in love with the Black Glove
Post by: Stone Knife on June 27, 2012, 05:24:00 PM
My new Black Glove came in the mail today with my Kustom King order, I love it already. No break in period at all, I have been on a search for a different glove now that I can't get the Grizzly leather ones any more. This Black glove is hands down better than the Grizzly.

I picked one up at Cloverdale this year and I'm really liking mine as well.

How warm is it for summer shooting?  And what makes it better than the old Grizzly gloves?

I haven't shot it in real hot weather yet but I think It won't matter at least for me. I like the fact that it's all synthetic so if it gets wet it wont matter.

Mine started to separate along the finger seam where it joins the stalls. Prefer leather.

I had the same problem as huntryx on the original glove & on the replacement glove. I returned the 2nd glove & got a refund

Bought one for bowfishing last year, and REALLY liked it, then started using it for daily shooting in yard.  It is a really good combination of string-feel and smooth release.  The problem I have, like huntryx, is product longevity.  It frayed along the bottom of the index finger early on, failed way sooner than I expected.

I am in the early days of trying a second one, so we'll see.  If they were $8, I'd buy 3 at a time, and shoot each one as long as it lasted.  At $20, I need this one to last longer than the first one did...

Glad to hear you are liking yours, Stone Knife and adeeden!

My Grizzly gloves did the same thing, it would be nice if they lasted a long time but for me if it's comfortable and I have a clean release with it then I can live with buying one more often.

I got one at the Howard hill shoot and love it ,but the fingers also separated, so they sent me another ! It's doing the same thing with very little shooting! I agree it's the best glove ive ever used , but they have some bugs to work out! Chuck

Mine came apart at the seam as well.  Can't beat a tab IMO.

Just started playing around with them and liking them so far, still have my Big Shot glove, but I'm really liking this Black Glove so far.
Yes they are warm in hot weather, but then again most gloves I use are, will be nice in the fall though.
