I have the main beam and it is a great pack.
I like bison packs because I prefer a pack made out of fleece since its silent. They also have a wide variety of sizes. Nice packs
I have a Pack Idaho (since became Bison Pack) FTO and it is plenty of pack for day of hunting. I could overnight in it if I had to. Expandable top bag could carry 50 or 60 pounds of meat. Great pack, rides well. Mine is made of wool. Beware of getting a pack too large because you will fill it up and carry too much.
Might look at the Eberlestock X2 pack. Well designed and built tough. You can pack that first load of meat with it also.
I like the Hill People Gear, Tarahumara. Or a small bag attached to my Kifaru Longhunter frame if I plan to carry meat.
Take a look at the Bison Gear and the Eberlestock X2. I own and love both.
Bison Gear -- Very comfortable to wear and really transfers the weight off the shoulders to your hip. Stays low on your back so it does not get caught up on overhanging brush.
X2 -- Comfortable but not able to transfer the weight off the shoulders as well as the BG. It has a metal frame that makes carrying heavier loads more comfortable. Very versatile. See review I did on mine last year for more info on the possibilites with this pack.

Can't go wrong either way, just depends on what suits your needs best.
PS -- If you go with the X2, definitely contact Whip when you get ready to purchase. Great customer service and can answer any questions you may have.

I second Ron W--Badlands' Diablo is the most versatile and well-made pack ever. Silent, too.
Don't know where your at in Oklahoma but if you're close to Tulsa Ive got a badlands 2200 and a monster Fanny pack that you can test drive.
I 3rd the Badlands Diablo can't beat it for the price.
I am really impressed with the quality and thought that went into the BisonGear Teton pack. It is a little different than some of BisonGear's other styles, but is very well made and about the same price as similar Badlands. It is a little heavier, but mine is Predator Fall Grey wool and should last forever. I don't know why you don't hear much about this pack, although the 1 pic on the website does not do it justice.
I use a Badlands Superday pack and like it a lot. I also have their Monster fanny pack. I dont like it and need to sell it.
ive always been in love with my badlands 2200, but ive finally lost enough weight that the belt wont get tight enough so gonna have to sell it. hate selling my all time favorite pack. if your not looking for a meat hauler at all, check out the cabelas elite scout pack. its not a framed pack and smaller but carries a water bladder, plenty of room for gear, places to sinch a coat on, is lightweight, comfy to shoot in, and not expensive.. nice little day pack.
If it doesn't have to be camo, Lowe Alpine makes a VERY good daypack. They have a model with a mesh back that keeps the whole pack away from your skin for airflow. Great warranty and they are packed with features for the price. (I'm a long time fan :D )
BisonGear is all I use these days.
Badlands Reactor for short trips and Superday for longer ones works for me!
I just got a Tenzing TZ 2220 that I'm currently trying. So far it's working out great, quiet, comfortable and holds everything that I need.

S2... its been a few months, how do you like the Tenzing 2220? Are the compartments waterproof?
I have the Bisongear Teton pack also. It is an awesome pack, simple design, well built & comfy to carry. The shoulder straps are super nice, you can really load it and have ne problem with shoulder strain. It is the perfect day pack IMO.
My pic of it is on there website.

Water bladder x2. The most valuable thing in my packs.
Camelback makes a quality pack. There are well made similar army issue packs at your local army surplus.
