I bought a bow from a fellow Tradgang member because it intrigued me. I have always been interested in shooting bows of different designs and had never shot one like this. It's a Cliff Coe and is probably over 60 years old which makes it a tad older than me :) It shoots like a dream and I could hunt this stick tomorrow.
This is the thread and has more info...

I took some precautions with it. I put a new string on it and slowly exercised the limbs on my tillering tree to 28 inches. Then did some short draw shots and worked to my full 27" draw... Cliff Coe of Coe Archery was a craftsman and I can't imagine this bow shooting any better 60 plus years ago... Mr. Coe I never met you but you sir are a craftsman and this bow is a testimony to your art......
Sorry for the form Mr. Coe but your bow is superb!!!

That's neat!
Congrats on finding a sweet shooter. They are sometimes hard to come by.

Kip,
Watch the dry air!! From what I've read, Cliff Coe would want you to shoot and enjoy your bow.
That bow looks real nice on ya Kip. What a classy looking classic with perfect shape and tiller. Made by a true craftsman. Enjoy that baby.
Chuck
Looks good to me
I love old working Bows!
Nice looking bow and your form looks good to me.
Way to go Kip! Put that baby to work! Great looking bow I nearly bought. Glad you got it instead!
$150 well spent I'd say Kip.
Cool bow got to love the classics.
A fantastic testomial of our love of archery. Good stuff Ryan!
I was very lucky and got a shooter not just a looker and in a weight I can handle, best buck and a half I ever spent :)
Phil I hope it's not to dry here for it but just in case I'll let it hang a while before I shoot it anymore just to make sure it acclimates. I live on the coast so I think it will be ok. I put well over 100 arrows through it today just ask my shoulder!!
This old man and this old bow might just have to find an old hog??? what ya think???
bring it here and we will look for an old buck!
Kip,I saw that listed and it really intriqued me.years ago I read so many good things about Cliff, and yes he was a true craftsman.i think Cliff would be so pleased one of his creations is back doing what it was ment to do,by a fella that is truly deserving of that bow,Kudus my friend!
That would be bunch of old bucks on your place Jim :)
Steve I got to tell you the bow really shoots!!!
You are sooo lucky you saw the ad before I did! That bow looks great on ya'!
That is cool!
Great bow Kip, I almost snapped it up as well.
Darryl Quidort wrote an article that was printed in TBM a few years ago about Coe Archery. Very interesting story if you can dig up a copy.
