easy one to get started. 12 yd, 3 standing and 1 kneeling
:scared:
warm up as much as you want
 Can't wait to get off work!
I can't wait to get home either!!!
I hope I can figure out how to post pictures
How does this work! We have all week to do it?
What target are we shooting?
Deadline to send in photos each week? Is this a Friday to Friday, thing?
If the "shot" is posted on Friday, do we have a week to post the picture?
Or should ey be in by Thursday, so a new shoot could be posted on Friday?
Matt

I shot really good except for my first shot in which I managed to miss the whole plate, but after that I dialed in. I ended up with a 24.

At work right now but hopefully gonna get it done today if the rain holds off...
Shot a 26 wow I suck lol
If the arrow is on the line which one do you take? I'll get mine in tomorrow.
Can you add my daughter Hannah in as well.
Thanks, Mike
Assuming it cuts the line you take the higher score... I got... 18 :(
Missed completely with the first one, best shot was off my knees.

Finally thought I was ready and then shot like this.28 points for week one.
Here's mine. Two 10s, an 8, and a 6 for a 34.
Forgive the extra holes I marked. I only had one plate to practice on. I'm glad this one was from 12 yards. At 30, I sucked.
22 for me.

I always shoot high and left. So, I set my target accordingly.

Ant tips on shooting all over the place?

The only thing that I can come up with is to cut out each individual ring and tac them to your target in different spots. :bigsmyl:
Just one Idea, Schafer
Man O Man,
Adjusting the target really works!
Now, if I can get the Deer to be a little taller and move a little left!

Geez a 22. Oh well, scared the hell out of the middle anyway ;)

Count me in please.
I have a new bow and only 2 arrows that fly well from it so I did 2 at a time. Choked on the first 2 but rallied on the next 2, one of them kneeling. Give me a 16. Thanks.
My week 1 target, 24 pts. Maybe by the end of this I will be shooting like Giff. :archer2:
My target is a bit on the improvised side. (grin) I'll have to grab some real plates this week.
Ended up with a 30.
Nice arrows Fletcher!! Who made'em?
Seriously though, you make some real nice arrows.
Here's my first week two 6s and two 8s
/Users/caseydoolittle/Pictures/iPhoto Library/Originals/2012/Jun 24, 2012/0.jpeg
Thanks Bud. Working a regular gig again; wish I had more time for arrows.
Add me too please - Dogboy900 has been egging me on to give it a go. (He wants someone to beat. :deadhorse: )
So after 100km cross winds and no opportunities over the weekend, raced home Monday at sunset. Had the wonderful wife buy paper plates for me, got the measurements all wrong (will be better next time), had a quick practice, and ended up with this as the dark set in. If I imagine where the circle lines should be I think it is
two 6s and two 4s, for 20. That makes me one up on Dogboy if no one else :(
Had to use flash to take the photo. Also used 3 broadheads and 1 fieldtip, no time for a change. (The background target clearly shows my scatter gun approach at times)
Nice shooting guys.
Matt, I like your target. I thought mine looked like a drunk chimp made it, but yours make me feel better about it.
Meilaq, being in the southern hemisphere you need to account for the correolius effect. :p
I've been following this over the weekend with itchy string fingers. We've got a tropical storm out in the gulf right now and it's been dumping rain since Friday, so no shooting for me. I thought I had a little window of fairish weather on Saturday so I grabbed the bow and headed into the yard, but the archery gods weren't having it and greeted me with a fresh downpour and tree branches coming down all around, so I retreated back inside. You guys bringing up the rear better watch out, cause I'm coming. :archer2:
Gringol, I was almost embarrassed to post my target picture. (grin)
Went out this morning before our week of rain got started. Thought I had some plates...I'll pick some up on the way to work this afternoon.
Felt pretty good after the first three shots. The ol' "counting the chickens before they're hatched" thing. Then the kneeling shot...28 pts.
Finally cleared up today and was able to shoot after work:
Three 6's and a Ten for a belated 28 :)

Here is my score for Week 1... this is FUN right?
I call this a 14. I told you I would be holding up the base...
gringol- It would be MUCH appreciated if you sent that rain up here to western KS and all of CO! WOW it is HOT and dry here.
I'm going to go get some plates tonight and shoot just before the sun goes down. I've been waiting on this heat wave to snap but it's looking like its going to be 100+ for over a week. So I guess I'll just have to tough it out. Good shooting everybody!

ouch! 100+ sounds painful! Truth is we really need the rain here as well, it's just the all at once part that is messing things up. The rain has let up today, but now the wind is doing about 40mph...
Me, trick00, 34

8 and 4 and 4 and miss 16 no excuses, except maybe it's my new heavier bow.
My first ever Fun Shoot post. This could get very interesting, a heap of fun and a great learning tool. See ya next week.
28 points was all I could come up with......better shooting next week.
Kudos on that Robin Hood there Trick. Is that your first? We might not see that again in the fun shoot. Gotta love this thing we do!!!!
I'm in with 22. Hopefully I won't embarrass myself.

Good morning;
Round 1 for me is 18, only because arrow #3 just cut the edge of the plate. Now all I need to do is to figure out how to post pictures.
D
Count me in I will shoot tonight and post.
When does Fun Shoot Week 2 start?
Matt
I'm in! Here's round 1! 10, 10, 8 and 8 for 36.

28 - glad it was a close shot!
I shot a few practice arrows, then broke a nock, so I decided that was enough. Not a particularly good group even though I broke a nock, so it's a little annoying. It also takes me a couple days to build those nocks, so it'll be one arrow at a time from here out.
10+6+6+6 = 28 points
(http://i1200.photobucket.com/albums/bb336/gringol/IMAG0136.jpg)
Not his first robin hood, but the strange thing is the robin hood was the kneeling shot. Go figure. he was kinda aggrevated cause he had just fletched those arrows.
24 is not so good score for week 1

I'll try and get out tonight to shoot. This heat and fighting prairie fires is cutting into my shooting time.
sparty, your arrows look like something from a Dr. Seuss book.
I'm doing a rain dance for you, Jon.
Tried last night in the 101 degrees, and managed a 10. Pulled the plate, dropped to 18 yards and stacked arrows on top of one another. Figures

Having trouble keeping up. By the time I put it in the spreadsheet, print it , scan it to make a jpeg and then reduce it to 640 wide and then upload the picture and post another score beat me.
going to have to do better with the scanner or find a better system can barely read it.
Ron
looks like xbmedic is the winner for the week. he can start the next thread sometime tomorrow.
Avg. score for week 1 is 25.29 / 40.
You are doing a Fine Job Mac!!
