I have not been on the forums a great deal lately due to work....but I was wondering if there was an update on the progress of Charlie's book? I sent in my check...and am anxiously looking forward to reading the book....
How close is it to publication? Any new info I missed?
Lee
I have not seen any news lately. I do know that enough people prepaid to make the project a go.
I haven't heard anything in a while either. But, I'm pretty sure we blew the prepaid requirements out of the water as far as getting it published.
Looking forward to it ehh !
I'm workin my hiney off trying to get this thing to the printers. Editing has been a bit more time consuming than expected but I'm closing in on it.
It would be tough to give an exact date, but I'm shooting for a late summer release at this point.
Thanks so much for being patient guys... I guess reading my stuff has made you all good at it.
:D
LATE SUMMER??!!!!
!!!!! THAT'S GREAT NEWS !!!!!

Great news! Thanks, Charlie!
Editing, time consuming? Charlie...as slow as your stories develop in posts you ought to be able to do it as you go.
Seriously....can't wait for my copy. Hope your preorder's were HUGE!
Glad to hear the wait won't be much longer. Looking forward to receiving my copy.
Take your time Charlie. Do it right.
Yep, Take your time Charlie don't let them rush you. You just make sure the book is everything you want it to be. :readit: :bigsmyl:
This is your story buddy thank you for sharing it with us :wavey:
Charlie, looking forward to your book, I'm sure its going to be a great read. Thanks, Jesus
Heck, it takes til late summer to tell one story!! Take yer time buddy!! :bigsmyl:
When it is done, it is done, take your time my friend.
Good things are worth waiting for , looking forward to it.
Charlie's stories had me lurking on TG for the first few years of the web site. Those same stories convinced me that I should probably join!
You always have to be patient when Charlie posts his stories here..........I'm going to be patient waiting for the book! That being said, I'm really looking forward to spending some quiet time reading that book!
I'm with Tracy and Danny, no need to rush Charlie.
It's way to hot to start a fire in the stove right now. This read needs a wood fire poping in the background.
I may just pitch a tent, put a coffee pot on the stove and read it by latern light. That way I can hear your voice better bud :wavey:
:campfire:
K.S.and all:
My intent in this thread was not to rush Charlie but to merely inquire as to the status of the project which I sent money to. I believe I have the right to know the status. The original thread stated that it was depending on whether enough orders were received
In good faith I sent my payment, and received no confirmation of my payment nor have seen any post concerning the status. I don't believe it was too much to ask. If you read carefully my post was not directed to Charlie but merely an open question as to if anyone has any info. If you place an order for something wouldn't you expect to be kept abreast of the status of said item?
Please stop assuming and reading into things that are not there. Felt I had a right to ask about something I paid my good hard earned money for. Excuse me for assuming that was my right!

i have a question and dont mean to be rude... but who is charlie lamb? i know he is known on this website well, but outside of this site is he known?? i have been around trad archery for a while and have never heard of him other than this site. im sure the book will tell, but i didn't know if he did something for traditional archery, had a company that took archery to the next level, designed something, was a big promoter of archery back in the day? Who is 'he' that everyone wants him to write this book or if he is just a great guy from trad gang with alot of knowledge? :D Like i said dont take this the wrong way, im just out of the loop here on this....
No problem, Sorry Lee were not picking on anybody :) I think everybody is looking forward to this book.
Tracy
Hey Lee, I was pokin Charlie, not you. :)
Sorry if it sounded like I was pointin at you!! :wavey:
Lee,
I don't think anyone was raggin on ya. Of course you have a right to know.
Charlie....is it to late to pre-order an autographed copy. Love reading your posts and look forward to the book.
I am looking forward to your book. However, I say take your time and get it the way you want it. I have published 5 small books and I am working on some other writing projects now; and one thing that bugs me about my writing is finding mistakes or things that I wish I had changed before going to print, after I have the published work in my hand. I preordered your book and I am sure that your stories will produce a work that is hard to put down.
Terry... there is a link for orders in my signature line. Click on it and you'll get ordering information.
You know the worst part is going to be having to read one page & then put it down for 2-3 days, for the True Charlie experience!
thanks, charlie!
I just ordered mine. Cant wait to see it.
I'm a "book person" anyway and this will be in my collection.
Thanks Charlie!
FYI for those who are waiting... I'm currently in the process of selecting the photos to go with the text.
Everything is moving along nicely and thanks for the continued support.
Thanks Charlie.
gonna have to order one of these me thinks....
Charlie, thanks for the update, good things are worth waiting for.
Sent in my $35, can't wait to read this one! Hopefully at deer camp in October... :bigsmyl: :campfire:
Yup, looking forward to my copy!
Deer camp?
Yup, November would be a good release time. This one or the next! This time is passing quickly, but the book will be with me forever. Take your sweet everlovin' time, Charlie!
Killdeer
