Title: 2" wide 2 blade with straight edges?
Post by: ozy clint on June 19, 2012, 05:00:00 AM
looking for a wide 2 blade for small game, like foxes, feral cats, hares, etc.

i like the width of the simmons and centaur heads but don't like the concave edge. also they are more than i care to spend.

widest i can find with a straight edge are the magnus I heads at 1 1/2" wide. the price is better too.

any other heads out there i don't know about?

In the old days (1960s), I remember Bowhunters in Michigan gluing injector style razor blades to broadheads to make them wider. That was a bad idea for big game, but it might work for small game. You might also consider making a "Trade" style point out of flat stock.
