Title: brace height Bear Royal Safari
Post by: Sam McMichael on June 18, 2012, 09:12:00 PM
Can somebody tell me the recommended starting point for brace height on this bow. It is 40# at 28" draw (I draw 27" and a fraction)& is 66" long. So far, I have shot 40-45#, 45-50#, and 50-55# arrows and they all seem to waggle point left. I don't know if it is a tuning issue or bad release, but I have shot these same arrows in my other 40# longbows without any problem. At least one of these poundage ranges worked in the other bows.

I have moved the brace height up and down a bit but still don't have a solution. Thanks for any suggestions.

I talked to Byron Ferguson at the Columbus Deer and Turkey Classic and he told me he designed it for 6 - 3/4". They are really stable. It is made with five layers instead of four which makes it expensive to build. That is why Bear stopped making them.
