A parcel of Alaskan wild honey left its source on Saturday, the 16th. It was in my Virginia mailbox before noon today, the 18th.

Thanks,Tim, and thanks, USPS!
Killdeer~Sweeeeet!
Mmmmmmmm! Now I'm hungry!
Biscuits and honey ooh my!!!!
When is supper?
I was eyeballin' that Killi! Wanna trade for a certain shirt?
Sweet!
its the best bang for yer buck for sure!
Alaskan Wild Honey, I wonder how it tastes. It probably doesn't taste like clover, poplar, or sourwood honey. Anyone know the primary bloom from which it is produced? Killy, I envy you.
Taste like chicken lol.
:clapper:
BRAVO! I can't say enough good good about the USPS or the fine men and WOMEN that work there.
Thats true.
Biscuit please,
ps. is this an auction item?
yup, never had a problem with USPS which included mailings to Iraq and Afganistan plus my mail lady got me one of those white jungle hats that you wear.
Actually, Alaska honey is some of the most sought after in the world I am told. We have lots of poplar and there is clover, but the choice nectar is called fireweed and the honey it produces is actually clear like Karo syrup. The window for bees to get it is very small though and therefore it comes at a premium.
We gather morels by the bushels up here, but man I have never witnessed morels that were so buggy!
Killdeer, I am a huge fan of the USPS. I shipped a Centaur to Jim on the 14th and he received today.

I love homemade biscuits and fresh honey
sweet indeed :wavey:
Yum, that sounds good CB. fireWeed honey. I wanna try some now,on a biscuit.
Bummer deal about the buggy shrooms,
This was a St Jude's win for me this year. I want to thank Chinook907 for donating and shipping it. He even sent me some birch bark with it. I use it as incense in the house and at camp.
A T-shirt would last longer but wouldn't taste as good! I was gonna put it on Breyer's vanilla ice cream with fresh berries, but biscuits sound REAL good. This isn't any colorless honey, it is strongly yellow, and has a taste that is hard to describe. Sweet but not cloyingly so, and full of mystery. I better go try to get a more thorough impression of it so that I can write about it in a more concrete manner.
Killdeer :goldtooth:
USPS has always come through for me! They seem to have some wonderful employees as well.

Only our Killdeer could give such a description.. :readit:
"sweets to the sweet".... :D
Sent a St Jude's package USPS Priority Mail-- mailed Saturday AM from our dinky PO in Upstate NY, arrived in Washington State on Monday morning! Great service--I love the PO.
Here in Italy, particularly in Sardinia, there are some desserts after meal made of goat fresh cheese and Eucalyptus or Myrtle Honey ..... mmmmmm slurp....very very good.
Carlo
PS.... USPS delivered my items from U.S. in about a week ....
USPS, (A former employer..) has gotten both of the sets of arrows that I won on the auction safely to my doorstep as well.
That's great. I filed 3 claims last week with USPS. I'm glad your honey made it ok...
No kudos to USPS from me.....
My auction win also was sent by the USPS and had it in 2 days. Thanks USPS. Great People and Great Service.

Biggie, I hear that USPS has a black list,..Hmmmm could be that you're on it :biglaugh:
Hot biscuits and honey!! YUM!!
Biggie's is the only pic that has stayed in the PO lobby for the whole ten years I have worked there.
Go figure.
Killdeer
Snow water and Red Rose tea boiling in an old coffe can with a wire handle and then add honey lots of honey its the best recipe for winter deer drives!!!
Fireweed honey from Alaska or Washington state or Idaho or wherever....makes no difference! It is the best honey on the planet!
Enjoy Kathy.......I watched that auction, but didn't bid. Save some for topping that bowl of ice cream.....that HAS to be good!
It's good to be able to give kudos to your employer!!!

That explains it all!
Killy, I thought you carried my picture with you! Now I see you've posted it :biglaugh:
I put it up in the outhouse at camp, sort of a good luck talisman in the shrine. Someone else with a bulgy jacket posted it in the PO lobbies. It has much the same effect there.
Killdeer
