Hi Guys & Gals-I have recently noticed there are many complaints regarding the shipping of bows from bowyers, dealers, and trad archers alike. I think there is a solution to this problem with a friend of mine, but not sure where to go with this. Can one of the admins or Whip maybe call or pm me? Also, let me know what you guys might think about this! Thanks.

I ship my bows in the heaviest gauge PVC pipe there is..it costs quite a bit but I sleep a little better knowing I've done all I can do. I would be interested in a better/cheaper way.
You should contact Terry with your thought. Just hit the "contact us" at the bottom of the thread and state your business and they will get back to you.
Tim/Randy-thanks for the advice! I will contact Terry et al. I think my friend can really make a difference.

Something is definitely needed Kenny. I've got a couple of 1 pc. recurves I'm considering selling, but haven't done so because of the risks involved with shipping.
Anxious to hear your thoughts
Ken
My friend works at the post office, here is what he told me PVC pipe and insure it for $1000. Because they do not like paying out the insurance, I've sent several bows an never had a problem.
One piece recurves can be a problem,it would be a large diameter tube needed and then it would probably be oversized.I have shipped a few one piece recurves,I just make up a box to fit it.Haven't had a single problem with any bows I've shipped in boxes I've made for them.I pack them well and insure every bow I've shipped. Most longbows I ship in a 3" PVC sewer drain pipe,it will fit most except for your hybrids.
