Took a ride on Friday and went to see Ben Graham with Hummingbird Bows. Thought I'd be in and out in an hour, I was wrong.
This was my first visit to a Bowyers shop. The selection of wood he has bogles the mind. I have done a little wood working in my day but honestly have no idea how someone makes a beautiful, functional bow from those blocks of wood. We shot the breeze for a while then he asked if I wanted to shoot....DA. Yes !
We grabbed a couple off the rack and went out back. Shot for the next hour or two (he has a nice 3d course in the woods behind his house)
I currently have one of his recurves and love it. So I tried one of his one piece long bows and fell in love again. 64" and so smooth. Gonna be a long couple months and Yes it will be grey !!!
Did I mention Ben can shoot too !!!

Ben and Linda are top notch folks. I picked a bow up there once and got a full tour.
I like the looks of Ben's longbows. You make me want to take a field trip or two myself!
Ben is a great bowyer and a great friend. He makes one of the best bows you can buy, you will be real happy with the results. His bows kill the heck out of deer too.LCH
