I'm a new guy here... I'm actually just testing the waters. I am currently NOT a traditional bow hunter, however, I am making the change. I highly doubt that I will be taking up traditional hunting this year with the season only a few short months away and my limited practicing, but I do think I could probably work my way up to do it next year if I am consistent.
Just wanted to throw my name out there and let you know to be patient... I KNOW NOTHING ABOUT TRAD EQUIPMENT!
I am the same guy that posts as turkulese at bowsite.com... in case anyone notices. I will be asking some questions in the coming weeks/months. Looking forward to it!
Welcome to campfire...............
Ask away...............
Welcome! :wavey:
Your at the right place. Welcome
Welcome Ray! :wavey:
What part of Kansas? I would be glad to help in anyway if you are fairly close. Lots of trad shooters in Kansas I bet somebody is close enough to help you out.
Tracy
Keep it Fun,
Welcome This is a great place.
Make sure you follow the rules! Also there is a search function, use it before you ask a whole bunch of questions. You will find a lot of these questions have been answered time and again. It could save you a lot of time. If you cant find what you are looking for, ask away!
This is a great place to be, Glad to have ya.
Ask away! I'm sure anyone here will be more than willing to help you out.
Welcome. If you're having fun you're doing it right! No clocks in here other than Terry's shooting clock. Take your time. When it's right you'll know.
Don't worry about not being proficient yet and not knowing much about trad. You have come to the right place for both good fellowship and sound advice. None of us started out knowing much (some insist that some of us older guys still don't know much, ie. my wife).
By next year you will probably be good enough to become a serious trad bowhunter. Diligently search for threads on any topic that you need to know more about - just about anything you could bring up has been discussed here from the very basics to the highly technical. If you don't find what you are looking for then post any questions you have, and you will find numerous people willing to help.
The only sound advice I can give you is PRACTICE, PRACTICE, PRACTICE and don't take it so seriously that you take the fun out of it.
Glad to have you in the group.
:wavey: :campfire:
The only stupid questions are the ones not asked
Welcome, couldn't have come to a better place to learn!
Welcome aboard, bro!
Glad to have you.
There is ONE stipulation to being a member here, however. You must invite me to go huntin' with you for those giant Kansas whitetails. All expenses paid by the host, of course. ;)
Wow... thanks for all the responses! I live in the SE part of Kansas... a few minutes West of Pittsburg.

:wavey: Welcome sir!
Welcome from Kentucky!
Glad you found the site, I have been helped tremendously by the good folks here so any questions fire away
Ray,
Welcome! The one thing I would add as a suggestion is to get familiar with the "search" function on TragGang and spend a lot of time poking around on it. You could shorten your learning curve a great deal, and see some of the topics that are very common as people pick up this great sport.
Again... thanks for all the response! I will definitely look into the search function. I have been poking around some and have found this to be very useful.
Welcome!!!!
Welcome!!! Every member on here without exception was new to traditional bowhunting once so you are in good company. Ask away, you will be surprised how many helpful response you will get.
Welcome to the gang. I am within an hour from your location.
Welcome. As has been mentioned, the "search" function is a wealth of info, and when you're ready to commit to a trad bow, prepare to become addicted!
Again... thanks for all the response! I will definitely look into the search function. I have been poking around some and have found this to be very useful.
