I have been considering a Dryad ILF bow for a while now (among many others!)
I generally seem to like bows with shorter risers. For some reason they feel more natural to me.
Unfortunately living down in New Zealand we don't have a lot of opportunity to try different bows or configurations. We depend a lot on feed back and opinions from places like Trad Gang to decide on what to buy, or we just go with what we can find locally.
Anyone out there shooting a Dryad (or other brand) 13" riser?
What are the pros and cons in your opinion?
In hindsight would you go for a longer riser given the option?
Any recommendation on what length limbs would suit a 28.5" draw when coupled with a 13" riser?
And of course any pics of bows would be appreciated :)

If it were me, I would not go shorter than 15". I have a 17" Zipper that I really have become fond of. When you get short the sight window seems to cramp up for me. I have had 15",17",and 19" risers, I like 17" the best but would buy another 15".
I shoot a 15" riser with Medium Dryad recurve limbs @ 29.5" (makes a 58" bow). You probably could get away with a 13" and long limbs to stay 58" but like mentioned above you'll have a tiny sight window. I know some split finger shooters don't like my 15" window but I shoot 3 under and it's not an issue for me.

Shortstroke what size is the sight window on the 15"?
I had a Morrison 13" for a while - it may be a great riser for someone, but I'm not that someone - I could barely consistently hit the ground with it.
I have a Titan 17", but really prefer 19" - plenty of sight window, no finger pinch and they're really stable in the hand.
I have owned the Dryad 13" & 15" ILF risers. Shooting them side by side, I much prefered the 15 for it's more open sight window. I sold the 13 and, much later, sold the 15 as well.
When I buy another it will be a 17". That's the length I shoot best.

I think if I wanted to go with a short ILF riser I would go with a 15".I have had many lengths of ILF risers and the most versatile size for me is probably 17".I do like 15" though.Especially with long limbs and mediums work pretty well depending on the manufactorer.I have a longer draw.Your draw length is something to consider as far as overall shooting comfort.The limb adjustability can make a shorter bow work well.

I shoot split with a high anchor. I cant the bow some, but I have to have a clear 3" site window before it starts to angle back out. Even then the riser can cover the impact point at close range. 3 under I am fine with the 3" site window. The 13" riser was a no go for me.15" was not bad, but I would likely go 17" dryad. I think the Morrison 15" wood riser could work for me.
