Post by: flyne on June 15, 2012, 07:03:00 PM
I'm after some 3/8 field points for some wood shafts for my 100# longbow
my questions are
who makes them ?
wear can I get them ?
How many grains can I get them in?
Cheers Jim

Maybe the Bodkin type come in 3/8. Or maybe a 44 cal or a 45 cal have that diameter.

Jim, I think most 23/64" points are really 3/8".  I miked a couple of mine and they were within .oo5 of 3/8".

I'm with Gordon, there's only 0.0156" difference.  Use a 23/64" taper tool and spin the shaft by hand while holding some 150 grit sandpaper on the shoulder.
