What glue are you using for your inserts and feathers?
I was looking into the Gorilla glue for the expanding qualities and the Gorilla super glue for its impact toughness.
Thanks, Andrew
For feathers either Fletchtite, or Duco cement. For any inserts I have used was Ferrul cement. I think when GG starts expanding it makes a mess and will expand up in the shaft. Any epoxy will also work.JMHO
I'd stay away from GG. It tends to be messy. Superglue works fine for feathers. I like the gel form. It would probably work for inserts, but I don't use those so I'm not certain.
Fletch tape for my feathers.
Slow curing epoxy for my inserts.
I've heard good things about gorilla glue, just never got around to trying it.
I've got inserts that I put in with GG over 5 years ago that are still goingb strong it takes a heck of an impact for them to turn loose
fletch tite for feathers and low heat glue stick for inserts. I have been using them for a long time. Never lost a feather or insert from falling out. I have lost arrows.
With my aluminum arrows, Fletch-Tite for my feathers and Ferrel-Tite for my point inserts.
fletch tape for feather fletches
slow set epoxy for inserts on carbon/alum/glass arrow shafts
duco for nocks on woodies
guru's green goop for all points :D
Thanks guys for the info.
