Does anyone here have any experience with the Elk
Ridge Adult Pilgram longbow? How do they shoot? I'm interested in buying one but have no experience with them. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks
I have a Pilgrim II.
Elk Ridge makes a nice bow. The low price is due to a fit and finish that is not as polished as you would get from high-end bowyers. The bows are solid in the nuts-and-bolts department, though. Great people to deal with.
Killdeer
Years ago I owned two Elkridge longbows, one Pilgram and a Pilgram Two, wish I still had that Pilgram Two. they were good shooting bows and very reasonable back then, have no experience with the newer ones.
Had only great experience with them. Never had a pilgrim adult bow, but my daughter loves her new kid bow.
Buddy of mine has a 57# Pilgrim. Killdeer is right on with the finish, not horrible, but not up to the standards of most higher priced bows. Very thick and glossy. Tips are a little clunky, but over all a really nice shooter for the $.
My tips are thin. Bow is excellent shooter and excellent craftsmanship. Mine is Pilgrim 64" 62#@28". Shot hundreds and one of the best out there. Good Luck.
Thanks for the help guys, really appreciate it!
Their great people there a vendor at our spring shoot for a long time. Heard nothing but good things. I'm ordering a bow
