Hey all,
I'd like to try a Possibles Bag with a quiver mounted to it. I think I'd like it more than the other options I have thought about. My idea is that I would like to have a setup where I can put all my needed hunting stuff in it and when I'm ready, I can simply grab the bag and go. I wouldn't have to worry if this or that was in there, it would be.
The only problem I have came across is how would I be able to carry a couple of water bottles. I don't want something like a purse where I just open the top and toss in a couple of bottles. I'd like to have a "holder" that mounted to the side of the bag where I could get my water bottle without messing with all the other stuff I would be carrying. So far the only thing that comes close to what I am looking for is a bag made by Maxpedition. It's a side bag and has plenty of storage and separate compartments to keep your gear nice and neat and separated. It also has a bottle holder on the side. I'm not sure if the other side can have another holder mounted to it.
The problem is that it's more of a LEO bag and they are pretty expensive to go and hack around on when adding a quiver and water bottle holders. If I can't come up with something else, I'll probably go with this one or something similar off of FleaBay.
I have seen LOTS of great looking Possible Bags on here, but none have water bottle mounts or a provision to carry water for those of us that have to have it frequently. I have Diabetes, that's why. If you were wondering.
Anyway, do you all have any ideas or thoughts on what would work well for my needs? I'm sure open to suggestions.
My backup plan is to get one of those Fanny Packs that has a few pouches on it and add a couple bottle holders to it and then simply use a lightweight bow quiver. That would probably be the least expensive way to go.
Thought?
Thanks for the help and time. Sorry about the length too. I get going and can't stop sometimes.

I like a bota when I hunt. It makes no noise, and you can squeeze out the air for no sloshing. Carries like a powder horn.

Have you seen the water bottle holder by Mike's Archery Leather? I bet if you contacted him, he could make it with a horizontal "belt loop" or something simple so that it would slide on to the strap of the possibles bag. Just a thought.
I have a Rancho Safari fanny pack and it has a water bottle pouch on each side.
Look at this:

I will get a picture of my possibles bag with attached quiver and knife. Need to figure out the H2O holder, next.

The 3Rivers fanny looks better than my Rancho.
That is a good looking fanny. Thanks for the heads up. That would also mean using a bow quiver too, which I have never done.
Here is the one I am thinking about now. It's by Maxpedition.
What do you think?

Take a look at the hill people gear tarahumara. I just got one and plan to do something very similar with it.
The Hill people gear pack is nice, but with my limited range of motion I'd have to take the entire pack off to get a drink, put the bottle back in the holder and put all of it on again. The bottle holders look hard to reach anyway even for someone that was flexible and had a wide range of motion in their back and shoulders.
Thanks for the heads-up though.

cabelas or basspro has one like thehill people with a quiver already on it and comes in camo, search for possible bags, guys have few pics of them on here.
i have an osprey buttpack. it is remarkable, in that it stays up in the small of my back, even with 20# in it.
it is high-tech, high-zoot backpacker gear, though, and will knock the heck out of a $100 bill.
it also has a shoulder strap, so it can be carried as a man-purse, err.... haversack.
has a bottle holder on each side, doesn't interfere (much) with my backquiver.
